How WhatsApp Can Change the Way You Are Doing Business

In a digital world, where Facebook, Instagram have already dominated the online business in terms of branding and marketing, Whatsapp marketing is something you should never miss.

WhatsApp is being used by more and more small businesses, especially those that don’t have a large marketing budget.

It’s not just the fact that WhatsApp is free, but it’s also the fact that you can connect with your customers directly and be available 24/7.

What do we mean by “Direct connection?” Well, WhatsApp has a feature called ‘WhatsApp Business.’ It allows you to set up an account and create your business profile on WhatsApp.

You can add details such as your website, working hours, business address, etc. Your clients can also share their feedback or ask support questions within the app.

WhatsApp Features for Small Business Owner

You Can Create a Business Profile

Business WhatsApp groups are an easy way to connect with local business owners and get the word out about your own business.

If you’re a small or solo-owned business, you can create a business profile on WhatsApp, which is a group for your company’s account. You can then use this profile to reach out to potential customers and trade leads.

Your business profile can list details about your company such as its name, website, email address and phone number.

If your business is open to the public, you can also include information about specific products and services.

You Can Send Automatic Greeting Message

The “Automatic Greeting Message” is an optional feature that allows you to send a greeting message when someone first contacts you via your Talkdesk number.

This feature is available for both text and voice messages. You can customise the automatic greeting message to suit your business needs.

For example, you can record a personalised welcome message, provide information about your company, or notify customers of any current promotions you are offering.

You can edit or delete a Quick Reply by clicking on it in the list of Quick Replies and editing in the text field.

Note: All edits must be saved before they will appear when you create or edit a template or receive a message from one of your customers.

Add Labels to Any whatsApp Contact

Contacts labels is a feature of WhatsApp Business that lets you add specific labels to your contacts.

This makes it easier to identify customers and their interests, helping you provide more personalised customer care.

You can assign labels manually or automatically by setting up rules based on certain conditions or keywords in messages. You can also create custom labels to suit your business needs.

When you send a message to a contact with a label assigned, the label will appear next to their name in your chat list.

Make a Product Catalogue

Businesses can add up to 500 items to their catalogue, including product or service name, description, price, and photo.

To create a catalogue

Open WhatsApp Business. Tap the three dots on the top right corner > Settings > Business Settings > Catalogue.

Tap Create a catalogue. Enter your business information if you haven’t done so already. The business info you enter will be visible to customers who view your catalogue.

Tap Add item. Enter the name, description, price and photo of each item you want to add.

You can tap Save draft or Publish after you’ve added items to your catalogue. If you publish your catalogue, it’ll be available for customers to view when they click the link in your message or visit your business profile on WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp/your company).

If you save as draft instead, it’ll be available for customers to view only when they click the link in your message.

WhatsApp Payments

WhatsApp Payments is a peer-to-peer money transfer feature that’s being rolled out in India.

The service uses Unified Payments Interface (UPI), a government-backed payments standard, to facilitate instant fund transfers between bank accounts on the WhatsApp platform.

The service was launched by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and is governed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

It uses the same UPI platform as Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm. This means you can send or receive money from any of these apps using just your phone number.

Automatic Away Message in WhatsApp Business

It is common knowledge that almost all businesses now use the WhatsApp business application to communicate with their potential clients.

It has become a popular platform for sharing products and services through messages and many other features.

The integration of the WhatsApp business application with the CRM system has also made it very popular for businesses.

This also allows businesses to answer their customers’ queries faster than any other method of communication.

One feature that most people are not aware of is the “away” message. This feature is an automatic reply which is sent to any message received while you are not available to respond.
